About
Caleb Mofsky-McLean is a multi-disciplinary designer and musician originally from Miami, Florida. He currently attends the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), pursuing a double-major in Fibers/Textile and Ecology, Sustainability and Justice (ESJ) with a minor in Book Arts. Prior to coming to Baltimore, Caleb graduated cum laude from the nationally-recognized New World School of the Arts as a classical violinist in the music strand. In addition to his art, Caleb is deeply interested in community-building. For instance, as high-schooler, he sat on the Youth Advisory Leadership Council for YES Institute, a Miami-based 501(c)3 dedicated to helping all youth develop as healthy individuals free of suicide, violence and discrimination with a particular focus on LGBTQIA+ education. And in the summer of 2026, he will be participating in MICA’s E/Intern Fellowship in the Creative Entrepreneurship Program, working directly with the community in the indigo gardens at Blue Light Junction and the Black Butterfly Teaching Farm at the Farm Alliance of Baltimore. Caleb is a passionate knitter, with deep and interrelated interests in fibers, textiles, materiality, and the natural world.
