“Headdy Beddy, we are Talking”
Wet-felted wool, MX React dyed silk and cotton, paracord, embroidery floss | 8” x 12” | 2025
I made this piece in response to a prompt about community, and how we define community within our lived experience. I chose to work with wet felting techniques to produce most of my material, and then used silks that I dyed with my peers in my Intro to Fibers class. I was thinking a lot about the role of spoken communication, and how language influences the ways in which we come to understand and interpret our surroundings.
